Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate

Accepting most BCBS and Aetna plans, State Health Plan, & Private Pay

Ashley is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate. She received her Bachelors in Elementary Education from UNC Chapel Hill and her Masters in School Counseling from UNC Chapel Hill. She has experience working with individuals across various stages of life including childhood, adolescence and adulthood. She has eight years of experience working in public schools, and now serves clients in private practice.

Her primary hope is for clients to feel seen, heard, and cared for. From there, she will apply evidence-based approaches tailored to her clients’ needs to help them reach their goals. In addition to setting goals, she guides her clients to strengthen the relationships in their lives, build self-confidence, and pursue paths of healing. She hopes to help clients identify patterns and cycles in their lives, and to determine the current impact of thoughts and behaviors on overall wellbeing.

While Ashley sees clients of all ages, she has particular expertise in working with adolescents. She believes strongly that children and teens are best served by a team approach, connecting the family to resources and helping them to navigate school and community systems when needed.

Ashley wants clients to feel safe and able to be their true selves while in session. Her goal is to establish a shame free and empathetic environment with clear communication and collaboration. She is affirming of all genders and sexualities, cultural backgrounds, and religions. She is particularly passionate about supporting clients through life transitions, relationship difficulties, identity development, living with anxiety and depression, as well as navigating infertility and perinatal journeys.
