Chloe Canady is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate who provides counseling services to children and adolescents, parents, adults, and couples. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from UNC Wilmington and a Master’s degree in Social Work from UNC Chapel Hill. Chloe is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), and The Modular Approach to Therapy for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, or Conduct Problems (MATCH-ADTC). By using a combination of approaches relevant to what you want to work on, she will assist you in fostering a deeper understanding of what motivates your behaviors and how to make positive, lasting changes.
Chloe works from a collaborative, strengths-based approach to support each individual in living a happier, more harmonious life. She is dedicated to creating and maintaining a strong therapeutic relationship to support clients in developing goals, setting boundaries, strengthening relationships, and developing the understanding and skills to feel confident in their decisions. She emphasizes empathy and validation while simultaneously assisting you to make the changes you want to see in your life. She works to support children and adults identify and resolve underlying issues related to emotional dysregulation, oppositional or disruptive behavior, anxiety, mood disorders, depression, trauma, OCD, repetitive body focused behaviors, and major life transitions.
