Billy Dickinson, MSW, LCSWA, is a genderqueer Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate who provides counseling services to children, emerging adults, and adults of all gender identities and relationship structures. Billy’s background includes therapeutic intuitive movement and exploratory therapeutic arts, which inform their eclectic and creative approach to therapy. Their work is 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming, Health at Every Size (HAES) aligned, trauma-informed, and deeply collaborative.
Billy is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Polyvagal Somatic Therapy. By integrating mind-body approaches with evidence-based practices, Billy helps clients release tension held in the body and develop greater awareness of how emotional experiences shape thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. They believe the body can both hold hurt and guide healing, and they work alongside clients to explore the therapeutic methods that best support each individual’s needs.
Billy works from a strengths-based, relational approach and prioritizes building a genuine, person-to-person connection within the therapeutic space. They focus on fostering groundedness, co-regulation, and authenticity, supporting clients in meeting their whole selves with compassion. Billy works with individuals navigating acute and complex trauma, anxiety, depression, dissociation, burnout, low self-esteem, body dysmorphia, ADHD, Autism, life transitions, and relational concerns.
Billy is experienced in supporting neurodivergent clients and individuals in monogamous, polyamorous, and ethically non-monogamous (ENM) relationships, as well as straight and queer partnerships. They are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and affirming therapeutic environment where clients of all identities feel respected, empowered, and supported throughout their healing journey.
