Brianna Green is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate who provides individual and group counseling services to adolescents and adults. She earned her Bachelors degree in Political Science from Davidson Collegeand Masters in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has experience providing therapy with adolescents and adults in a university setting, therapeutic group facilitation for adults with severe and persistent mental illness, and postsecondary planning for high school students and their caregivers.
Brianna’s style is friendly, direct, and grounded. She utilizes dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), which encourages clients to accept their feelings around a situation while also increasing their ability to manage it. She also relies on motivational interviewing techniques to support clients in making a change to improve their quality of life. Brianna enjoys developing strong rapport with her clients through the use of humor and gentle accountability. She consistently receives feedback from clients that her approach helps them understand themselves better.
Brianna has a special interest in working with couples. She enjoys helping partners understand each other’s perspectives and finding new solutions to old arguments. She also provides treatment for adolescents and adults seeking support around anxiety, depression, OCD, communication & boundary work, eating concerns, grief, identity exploration, life transitions, trauma, and relationship concerns. She is an ally to the LGBTQ+ community and values supporting clients with marginalized identities.
When she is not in session, Brianna can be found reading psychological thrillers or history books, watching reality TV, trying new restaurants or going for a walk.
