Alex believes in creating an environment that recognizes and values diversity and the unique attributes of each individual. She works with clients of all sexualities and genders and is intentional about creating a space that affirms, respects, and appreciates client identities. She believes that our identities play a significant role in our lives and she encourages exploring them openly in therapy. Alex is committed to creating a space that fosters inclusivity and support, where people can be themselves.
Alex strives to have an individualized and person-centered approach. She incorporates therapeutic techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness while focusing on the individual and what intuitively feels right for them. She believes therapy is a place to consider how the physical and mental components of our lives are often related or one in the same. Alex is dedicated to a collaborative, compassionate, and holistic atmosphere that allows individuals to show up as their authentic selves, and where their personal goals take priority.
