Rachel Kane is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate who provides counseling services to individuals of all ages. She has worked with children from the age of 7 through adults into their 70s. Rachel is experienced in providing individual and group counseling services. She has worked with children, young adults, and adults in multiple settings, including a community nonprofit organization and a college counseling center. Rachel has obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Exercise Science. She additionally holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oklahoma State University.

Rachel takes a collaborative and holistic approach to therapy. She views the client as the expert of their own experience and aims to work alongside them to facilitate changes they desire and that positively impact their overall functioning and wellbeing. Rachel believes it is important to evaluate the interconnected aspects of health, including physical, emotional, mental, and cultural/spiritual components. She enjoys working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and exploring how those diverse identities impact mental and emotional welfare. Rachel prioritizes and takes great care in creating a therapy environment where clients feel safe to show up authentically.

Rachel utilizes several evidence-based approaches to therapy, primarily including Relational Cultural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy. Rachel also utilizes EMDR therapy with her clients. She believes different clients require a unique approach that is helpful specifically for them. Rachel integrates these approaches when necessary to best support her clients. She believes that relationships are the primary path towards healing. She emphasizes supporting her clients through a positive working relationship between client and therapist. Rachel encourages her clients to take an active role in therapy in order to collaboratively work towards the client’s therapeutic goals. She recognizes that therapy can be both challenging and incredibly rewarding. Rachel is fully committed to supporting her clients in their journey towards wellness and fulfillment.
